Yo, so I had some issues with figuring out how to upload HD video using my new Flip Ultra HD camcorder - but then when I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong - I noticed a TON of other people with the same problem.
Well, I figured it out… so here ya go. Please leave me comments if you still can’t figure it out - and I plan to add a video ASAP. I’m just really tired and look / sound like crap right now or I totally would.
Using the FlipShare software that comes with your camera, you need to RIGHT-CLICK on the video you want to use from the main screen in FlipShare - then a small menu appears and you need to EXPORT it to your computer. There is something that the FlipShare software does during the export process to maintain the HD parameters within the coding.
Then, log onto your video platform of choice to upload your video - most of these platforms are designed to AUTOMATICALLY detect HD video and once it is completely processed - it should provide an HD viewing option.
My video uploaded to YouTube quickly, and was playable in low quality formats for about 15 minutes before YouTube ADDED the HD quality version as an option for my video - so the HD does take a few extra minutes to become enabled.
Like I said above - if you still can’t get it - please leave a comment and I’ll answer ASAP.
